Hi All
I've got a very annoying problem with my black euro vox, I'm currently with V*rgin on 20mb Broadband, the box picks up over 250 channels, but it's so unstable. After doing a powerscan I can watch the box for roughly 10 mins, then the picture starts to brak up and the sound starts to chirp, some channels I lose altogether, then I'll do an autoscan it will work for a bit then the same thing happens. I've tried removing the splitter and going straight to the box, but the same problem occours, I've even tried a booster on it today but sill no joy. The box doesnt feel like it's over heating, does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks in advance! Hobbs |

do a full powerscan, before you do this clear all data and do a factory reset.
if the problem still persists try reloading the firmware |

thanks 4 the reply gji, will try the firmware today, does anybody know what the cable setup in the brown box outside should look like? I've heard the setup in there can cause connection problems, at the moment there is a forward Path Attenuator connecting a borown cable to the white cable which runs into my house, and another brown cable with loads of wierd stuff coming from it
![]() Thanks Hobbs |

Just done a full factory reset, upgraded firmware and tried a full power scan on 6.887 and 6.952 still no joy, its worse if anything.
The signal is around 83 - 85% on almost all channels Hobbs |

Have you considered that the problem may be too much power and that you may have to drop the signal with an attenuator
My old Eurovox worked perfectly at about 75%. I had to put a 6db attenuator on it to get it to work properly as it couldn't handle to signal coming in ![]() All you should have in the Omnibox outside is the main cable feed coming from the Cab and possibly your telecom feed for the phone. From this point the main cable will either have a 2 or 3 way splitter dependant on how many subfeeds needed or it may only have a barrel connector ![]() My house has two omniboxes as i had to move everything. The main one at the front of the house has the main feed which is then barreled to the new subfeed that goes up the side of the house to the second omnibox which has the two way split for the Cable TV & Broadband ![]() Cheers Nano Last edited by Nanochickin; 20-10-07 at 10:49 AM. |

Hi all
Good news, I've replaced the splitter and everything seems to be ok so far, it has been running for a few days now, with no major problems, the occasional splutter but nothing serious ![]() Hobbs |
