Default fast speed then slow

hi all i have a flashed modem with the midd config file and its been running perfect for ages now at soaring speeds but 4 sum reason its started going slow and i 1dered why could sum1 please help



also would like to know if there is a program that will set up the mac address and config file details automatically

Hi m8..it could be someone is now using the same mac as you,which would explain the all of a sudden slow speed.as for auto settings program,it depends on what modem you have.

i have a 250 the blue one lol all i want to do is change the mac but i tried last time and must have done it wrong coz i could not connect to the net had to get a m8 to sort it but he's away at the mo and i need to try sorting it

I have the same modem m8,its the little blue ntl ambit 250 modem and supposed to be one of the best ones.if you change the mac address and cant connect to the net,all this means is that you have not got a live mac address.just type another into the ambit program and write it to the modem and try again,and so on and so on until you get a working mac.UNFORTUNATELY...when you do get one that works you wont be able to use it as it will be in the same area as you and the same ubr sector.BUT...you can trade this working mac with someone else and get one that will work on your modem.Do some more reading and you will get there in the end.....GOOD LUCK.

right ive managed to do it without mucking it up thanx alot by the way m8 can i use a bund03 config with a mid mac

somthing new is happening to me now lol i put the modem up and running on a laptop instead of the comp and it changed my ip address and subnet mask and after about 20mins it connected with my normal settings then i connected it back up to the comp and it did the same after another 20mins im connected again does anybody know y this is happening thanx in advance



plus it keeps disconecting itself i thought it could be something to do with virgin but not sure
