Server move - Wednesday morning - Techwatch Support Forums: Digital & Satellite TV, FTA, Cable, Computers, Mobile Phones, Apple and General Tech Forums

Partly because of the lag reported on Techwatch recently, as well as the planned expansion of the forums on Saturday, I'm going to move Techwatch to a new server tomorrow morning.

It's a nice beefy one I already have set up, and so long as internet connections to the USA run fine then there shouldn't be any problems.

The site may be down for about 1-2 hours during this period, mostly for moving the forum database, but it may take a little while longer for some net servers to update their DNS for accessing the site, even though I've taken steps to reduce this to an absolutely minimum.

Just thought I'd better give a heads up.

Ok in IE7. Never felt a thing

. Use Firefox at home - will let you know if it melts that box later.
