Exclamation 20 Meg Move for My Friend

Hi guys

I'm back again My friend { Mr N }, lives in Bradford. I was wondering if he is not in an NTL Area could I use the modified 250 Modem like I used it for myself to get him 20 Meg broadband ?? Or does he HAVE to be in an NTL area for that to work ?

Any help on this matter would be much appreciated

Thanks

You can use the 250 in all 3 VM regions - you do need to set it up differently in ex C&W. Look in the Haynes Guide for details or use the Ambit tool.

So you need to use a different tool to set up the modem ?? or is it the 250 configurator tool ??

The Ambit tool has more options for things to change - but see my post about the attack on these modems and keep it dis-connected for now.

There ia one very difficult fix around, there may be easier fixes, it's still way too soon to be sure.

Remove the TSOP chip and re-program it from a working TSOP.

You will need some precision skills and a TSOP programmer - like I said, very difficult.
