There appears to be a VM attack on these modems ATM, if you have a Hacked Modem, it would be a good idea to disconnect it from the cable feed for now until further information becomes available.

VM are having a bit of a purge on the system atm. They are basically shutting down any modems that have an identical mac address to any another connected on the system
Its happening countrywide .Its a bit of a p!sser unfortunately for those using hacked modems ![]() Cheers Nanochickin |

Surfboards are currently unaffected - it appears to be targeted at the Infinite firmware is use in the above modems.

All access rights to your modem have been removed mate, its not going to connect anymore. A bit like if its a legit modem and you haven't paid your bill
![]() No idea if it can be flashed again as i've never had the need to do it as i get it all for free anyway. I'm sure there will be someone who will be able to help you out on the reflashing part mate ![]() Cheers Nano |

It seems it may be safe to use these modems again if you change the serial number to match the Mac, make sure the USB MAC matches the HFC MAC and change (or disable) the Telnet login/password.
The next Ambit tool should have the facility to make all the changes.
