5av please please please tell me how you did yours

I read your post and you said you used the 250_configurator tool, which is good for me, because I'm a little familiar with that tool

I've got my fresh MACs, so can you please tell me what you did and how you did it ??

I'll be greatful for life

as lincsat said check see if you can log in to the ambit config tool, and then change the username and password, also try a mac without forcing a config if it works have a play see if you can then force config, ive been on this mac now for 2 weeks and forcing 20m/b again (bund03) with no probs as of yet *touch wood* get a mid mac i have read in various forums if you force on a light config it works for half hour then goes slow, i am using a mid mac so try and get on of those

Default Re: Cable Modem gone down in my area.

I have a surfboard 4100 that went off last week. Well actually, it's my friends modem and I need to sort it remotely which is my main problem!!

I am unsure whether is a de-activated MAC, blacklisted MAC or something more serious.

Have there been any problems with the surfboard modems?

My plan is to get the MAC changed and see if it works and how long it lasts.

Are there precautions to stop the MAC getting blacklisted on a 4100?

Thanks.

I have checked, and I AM ABLE to sign into the modem. also I have changed the username and password to something very hard.

So you are saying I should try another MAC, but also not force the configs...trying another MAC I know how to do, but you said choose a mid one, can you tell me what the code for a Mid one is

Also what do I do so that I'm not forcing the config ????

Please Help
