Recvd a new Starview The Box 2 days back - connnected it up to my TV, Sky Digital Digibox and my VCR/HDD recorder no problemo.

Worked a treat.

Decided to tape something this morning - turned on VCR - and hey presto......NO SOUND coming through when I select the cable channels (AV1).

No problems with Sky Digital (AV2)

Swapped around the scarts - same problemo!

Tried nmy previous NTL cable box - works no probs through the VCR (Sound & audio) REplace it with The Box....no sound!

Works fine if connected directly through the TV.

Have you tried the obvious things like checking the box volume isn't all the way down or even muted and try re-booting the box.

If you swap the scarts around, ie the TV out to the VCR instead and the other direct to the TV do you get sound on the VCR and then no Sound on the TV? Do this to prove there is or isnt sound comming out of the "VCR" Scart on the Starview.
