Talking Re: Mod Truman for SL65(B1-6pin)

Fantastic work, Andysly, TrumanCapote and others!!

I have flashed my SL65/12 with Andysly's version of the Truman firmware and am using the original remote. Prem seems to be AU (hint: I had to power the receiver off and on when screen went black). I only have 19.2E on my dish at the moment so can't check much else.

A few questions/observations:

I can view the Prem Sport portal channel, but can't find a way to select any of the content listed there. Do I have to go to other channels on the receiver - if so, which ones?

With this firmware there doesn't seem to be any way to re-order individual channels in the list using the remote, as there was with the original FW. I'm not talking about Favs here, I want to put some of the German channels at the top of the list. Can it be done?

To get to the channel list I have to press the Menu button and then Channel>TV Channel Manager. The List (blue) button on the original remote brings up some teletext menu when viewing a channel. Other buttons also behave unexpectedly - is this likely to be rectified?

There also seem to be a couple of glitches in the audio. The Prem Film channel audio is totally absent. If I go to the audio selection menu, there is a tick by nothing - the Deu option cannot be selected. On some other Prem channels, all audio tracks are listed as Deu, but one of them is usually English.

These aren't complaints - I think this firmware is great, a big step up!!

Hi solunauk,

Look here for Premiere frequencies:-

_ Packages: Premiere - KingOfSat

Unfortunately the Sports and PPV film channels come in with some weird names. I think they are named ie. CH220 (I am at work so can't check) The number may correspond to the SID - shown on kingofsat.

Usually english commentary is on second deu audio track. I think it's the button above the 'audio button' that changes it. Again from memory I'm afraid.

Hi buddies!
How does the thing goes about Csharing? :P
Some days ago I tried to find how does TrumanShare works with Gbox, but unfortunately I didn't managed to do anything of special. Besides the facts of have nobody to share dlines and my RS232 is not long enough to get the place where is the receiver.
I've uploaded a file on dvb-upload with the name Truman_mod_for_SL65(Hot,Astra,Hip_channels), which has the satellites Astra, Hotbird and HIspasat, including fav lists for packages T P S, Prem(channels correctly named) D +, Sports, Music and News.
Note: Don't forget to check the Diseqc positions on your receivers.

Sol, the Truman's remote is a little bit different from the SL65. So some changes in the keys had to be done. Take look on the picture ...
To move the channels in the lists only you have to do is to choose a satellite list (not a fav list!) in the Channel>TV Channel Manager and press Edit (yellow key) .... 0000 .... then you choose the sat or fav list you want and press Move (pseudo-white key) .

Greetings

Hello TC,

Nice to hear from you.

Thank you for sharing your mod. I have not had time to play with V_plug/Gbox, but everything is open using daily key update

Thanks for the instructions on using the remote, TC - all is clear now.

I can't find the file you put on DVB-upload - what date was that? (the search function there never works for me).

Does your file incorporate Andysly's fix for the blind scan crash?

Sol

Good memory, Yorks! Found the sport around $ CH-220. The red button on the original remote is for audio, as confirmed above by TC. The channel I cannot get sound at all on is listed as Prem Film, Freq 11720 on 19.2E, Video PID 1279, Audio PID 1281. It would be interesting to know if anyone else has the same problem.

Yorks, you say you're doing daily updates with .bin files - mind giving a hint where to find them? I've been looking for Yumatu IQ files in the usual places but none seem bang up to date. When I upload them using Ali Key Upgrade 2007.03.01, D+ won't clear, but I can clear it by inputting the keys with the remote.

TIA

Oops.. Sorry. You're right the file has disappeared.... :S
I've putted it on nachtfalke as Truman_mod_SL65b1 - Hispa,Hot, Astra. About the scan crash I don't know specifically what andy did to fix it, but i didn't change anything from the original Truman 1.3.78 (fixed with Ali fixer 0.5b) and with me the blind scan works perfect. In order to maintain the same maincode, you can charge only the channels list on your receiver by using the option userdb(64+64) on the uploader program.
Greetingsts

Look for truman-support(dotcom). Under keys you should find latest ALI_Key.
