Is there any card sharing software working with the SL65? Or any beginners guides to cardsharing?

I have had SSSP working on the Technomate 1500, but not on this receiver.

Hi!
New here and please forgive me for my bad English.

Allready fixed SL65 (Ali M3329 B1, 6 pins JTAG) via RS232.
What do I need to fix it with Truman 1.3.81 abs file?
I got only the abs file.
If I do it can I go back to the other fix? Is Truman bootloader compatible with RS232 update prog?

What about Trumanshare/VPlug/Gbox software? Is there any solution for on line key update for the SL65 B1?

Thank you in advance for all information.

Your English is very good!

I strongly suggest you have a good read of the Comag SL65 section on Maiden's satboard.uk.to forums - there's a lot of information there plus download links that we can't have on here. Basically you need a patched version of Truman 1.3.81 (already done for you on satboard) and the loader upgrade.exe. Do not use aliminiupg4.exe at this stage. Choose allcode+bootloader in the dropdown menu when you flash the box via RS232.

I think you can go back to the original firmware, providing you can find a copy on the net or back it up from your own box. But there is no reason you would want to as far as I can see.

Pr*miere no longer auto updates with 1.3.81 firmware, so you will have to load the keys provided on Maiden's site.

Card sharing has not succeeded with this box as far as I know.

Good luck!

Hi there!

Thank you for your enlightening info on the how to.
I will go to the suggested site and do the recomended downloads.

By the way in these days I am trying to use the JTAG of the box with simple cable (by resistors) using program "EJTAG_TT_1.0.55_SPI.exe" but I couldn't manage to get into debug mode so I can read/write the memory.
The comunication is allways done with the following results:

Selected work mode with Ali M332x
CPU ID = 0000
Ali M332x
IMPCODE = C05288
EJTAG version
1 θλθ 2.0
EJTAG functions : R4k ASID_8 NoDMA MIPS32
Select DMA mode, but not support by CPU
Init DMA mode ... Skipped
Init Debug Mode ... <Error!> ...

Box is using ALi M3329 B1 and JTAG connector is six (6) pins.
Is there any solution to this?
My aim is to keep a backup of the original software just in case I do any mistake in programming (dead box), so I can restore it.

Thanks once again.

I never managed to get the EJTAG software to work with my B1 either by using the lead that they recommend or with the usual lead. I made both leads up. I only managed to get it to work using the Flaps program and the lead that goes with that. The EJTAG software lead differs in its pinouts and that it takes a power supply off a connection to the board. If you've got a B1 I'd stick with Flaps. I have given more detail on how to do it in the S1003 thread here and on Sat Maidens board.

Incidentally if you just want a back up do it via the RS232 if it is working. You can always reload it via JTAG in the future by just changing the extension from .abs to .bin.

Whoimi

That should do for starters. Remember, choose .abs file, allcode+bootloader, then press Next and then power on the box.

There are later firmwares, but some have been troublesome. Find the latest key bin file and key loader on Maiden's satboard - satboard.uk.to in the Comag SL65>>Files section.

Good luck!

Just make sure it's a version that has been patched to work on a Comag\Silvercrest SL65 B1 - i.e. it will probably have something like "MANDO-AUDIO-DISPLAY_COMAG_FIXED" in the file name, or someone has confirmed that it definitely works.

A key bin file contains the keys that decrypt some scrambled channels (for educational purposes, of course). The keys change regularly and you will have to upload the files often - hence the need for a loader. Some keys will Auto-Update (AU) with the right firmware, but I'm not sure which ones will with 1.3.80.
