Default New User - Any help with the Euro Vox Max 2008 greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,

New user as I still require more info after going through many of the existing threads & not having a clue as to why this thing wont work. Any assistance would be much appreciated as I am a complete novice. Thank you in advance.

My husband and I bought his parents the new Euro Vox Box (2008) with the October 07 Firmware on it. We have a 2006 version ourselves which we have had no problems with at all. It arrived yesterday and he took it over there to set it up.

He plugged it in, power scanned it & only came up with about 100 and odd channels instead of the 238 that both we & our brother-in-law have. We have cleared data, changed symbol rate, changed full to normal & normal back to full again...then changed the factory settings. The green percentage bars seem pretty reasonable but the TP is constantly at "000" and now we are only picking up 2 channels??

Originally I feared he had erased the firmware but looking at the box info, it still has the firmware details on it so I presume it is still on there? Can anyone suggest why all our attempts have failed & what else we could try?

Many Thanks again
Danni

take the cdf file from your 2006 box and send it to your black box quickest and easiest way to do it. use voxer in the download section

Put the September firmware on the box, or even the new beta Firmware from yesterday - the Firmware you have turns the tuner gain right up meaning you have too much signal.

Could you tell me (step-by-step) how to do this please? Do I need a cable to go direct from one box to the other or from old box to my laptop to the new box?

Thanks again

To load the .cdf, you would back it up to your PC fist, then copy it to your new box.
