![]() Seriously though, a tyre mount is absolutely ideal for experimenting with a dish - as its easy to alter the direction its pointing. Ive had a dish sitting on a tyre for 3 years. HOWEVER, you MUST make sure its secure if a gale comes along. You could be looking at a major compensation claim if someone gets hit in the face by a dish that comes adrift in a storm! I lay my tyre diosh flat on its tyre if a severe storm is forecast, and drop another old tyre over the face of the dish. The extra weight keeps it safe.

Indeed. I had the exact position of the dish marked on the tyre with Tippex so I could stick it back up in a hurry when the Mrs had finished using the clothes prop!

Heres a temporary lash up whilst testing my new toy this afternoon
(one 15 year old 35cm BSB dish! picked up from ebay for a fiver )The dish is pointing at 5W and the tv just about shows a scrambled Canal+ signal on analogue
