Default And you thought that the temporary setup was bad...

Many thanks to my old friend Analoguesat for this mounting idea

My bike's not been handling very well with only one tyre, but I got to watch the game at least!

I promise to get it sorted out later this year :

Hee hee. Thats a tenner copyright you owe me

Seriously though, a tyre mount is absolutely ideal for experimenting with a dish - as its easy to alter the direction its pointing. Ive had a dish sitting on a tyre for 3 years. HOWEVER, you MUST make sure its secure if a gale comes along. You could be looking at a major compensation claim if someone gets hit in the face by a dish that comes adrift in a storm!

I lay my tyre diosh flat on its tyre if a severe storm is forecast, and drop another old tyre over the face of the dish. The extra weight keeps it safe.

Indeed. I had the exact position of the dish marked on the tyre with Tippex so I could stick it back up in a hurry when the Mrs had finished using the clothes prop!

Heres a temporary lash up whilst testing my new toy this afternoon

(one 15 year old 35cm BSB dish! picked up from ebay for a fiver )

The dish is pointing at 5W and the tv just about shows a scrambled Canal+ signal on analogue
