Default LNB positioning in holder

Hi

I'm setting up a satellite system at the moment, and I have a question about the LNB on my 88cm Triax dish.

When the LNB is in it's bracket, there is about 2cm of movement of the LNB toward or away from the dish before I lock it down.

Should the LNB be 2cm nearer the dish or 2cm further away from the dish?

At the moment I've locked it in the middle, 1 cm from the nearest point and 1cm from the far point, what is the right thing to do?

I cant test it yet, as im waiting for a wall bracket.

Thanks for any help.

Default Re: LNB positioning in holder

The normal way to fit them is so the throat clamp is hard up against the dish end of the lnb. With todays high power satellites, its not quite so critical as high power signals make up for any deficiencies in lnb placement.

& You can always tweak the placement later.
