Looking for a group test or such like, or to cut a long story short anyone bought a card in the UK that's not too expensive and does the job and is Diseqc compatible?
TIA Did some hunting and it looks like the SkyStar 2 is going to be my choice. Unless anyone knows of a better/cheaper card than that. Thanks anyway. |

Skystar 2's are well regarded, but download the "progdvb" software, as the software that comes with the card is flaky

Yes, I like the Skystar2 because it does the job really well, and for a sensible price.
There was a reasonable shoot-out in the winter 2003/2004 edition of Satellite and Digital choice magazine _http://web.ukonline.co.uk/mn999/sat/tv-links.html - but that seems to have been swallowed up by the American bettersat.com. I have a copy here. Maybe I'll rip the salient points out and post them at some point. Not much has changed in this area. The SS2 has changed very little, mainly because it was so good to start with! ProgDVB is indeed one of the better viewers to use IMHO. STICK
