Ok I'm running the dreambox and ss2 using **ox as an emulator. Stars because I assume like most forums we are not talking about it.

LOL, I'm not exactly sure how much pain mentioning the box-word will bring and I don't need the grief ATM so I'll add it to the banned words list and have it starred-out automatically

I used it originally with the card programmer hanging off the serial port on the 7000, but dumped it when NewcamD 5.28 came out with NDS support on the internal reader.

How does it work with the SS2 then, 'cos I want to try it on my FTV card now!

how can a skystar read a card??? I have one and there is no card slot

You can either do it over an IP network by connecting to a cardserver, or via a card programmer connected to your local serial port. The skystar 1 has an optional CI plug-in card too.

I have a tit programmer on the way and tit2 card what will this enable me to do with progdvb and will I be able to "clear" the art sport channels on hotbird?

If you have a serial port programmer then you can connect it to the serial port on your PC and run a cardserver.

I think that there are now D+ N2 AU files out for the Tit2 card, but no way to open ART outside of the official sub card.

I don't do cardsharing myself - not interested, but it can be done.

I think they are discussing card in the Dreambox and not in Skystar.

Thats right jaffer. Sorry my post wasn't clear, I knew what I was saying.

My Digitalb card is in my Dreambox and my SS2 card reads that over my LAN network.

If you have a card you can also read it via a com port on your pc if you connect a card reader.
