I'm running a Quali TV HDTV receiver and a motorized 1m dish. My Echostar 2500IP finally blew up after 5 years good use, and now I want to use the Quali TV to move the dish. I was thinking of buying a V-BOX but have been told there are problems in using it with the Quali TV. Is this true? Any thoughts on VBOX compatibility?

Hi PJC,
The V-Box II is compatible with Diseqc 1 and 1.2. I have not heard of any incompatibilities but someone else may have.
The V-Box seems to be Diseqc 1.2 compatible and that may be the problem.
The Quali TV receiver is specified as having Diseqc 1 control.

I hope someone with a bit more knowledge can give you positive advice.

Thanks for that. The unit is Disecq 1.0 but I believe that there is an over the air upgrade that makes it 1.2.

Anyone with info?

Don't know if this is any good to you, but I found a section on the Quali TV box on FF.

They have both firmware and tools, but the server is very busy at the moment. I did get in eventually though.
