Thats all very encouraging. It 1.30 tall and 1.20 wide. It's not motorised. Most of the steel parts are galvanised and perfect. Except for the elevation adjuster and pole mount sleeve ops: part which is O.K except for the sleeve which sits on the mounting pole. This is well rusty > . I followed those links that 'stick had for "feedhorn" those Andrews dishes have identical elevation adjusters. You know the upright bolt, with locknut for accurate up and down. The funny thing is I got this about 2 hours after getting my wooden boom on other dish set up. Ah! things will never be as romantic again. rgds dOH |

LOL, lash-up to state-of-the-art in 2 hours is pretty good
![]() And you will always have the memories! At the end of the day, you had some fun and learnt some stuff ![]() What's the LNB on the Channel Master?

Well, you tell me. The shiny plate on top has no trace of writing. So I can't give you any clues.
Have to go now. Hope to have the mount on wall by weekend. Just read on Irish sat forum some planning laws,( didn't know we had any ) Looks like 1 dish per house with max diameter of 1 meter. If I have a bit of a treasure here I'm thinking maybe of cleaning up the rusty part, and rust proofing. But probably will use it first and if she is really revealing, I might do some deep caring for her old wrinkly bits. rgds dOH |

Not much to look at really. As you can see i'm a fan of 80's technology.
ops:In the picture you can see my Philips Dmac Squarial and my Sanyo VTC-5150 Betamax, both in working order and my Fortec Star lifetime Classic FTA receiver tuned into Classic FM TV. ![]() Will post pics of the dish setup when i finish it. ![]() Update. Betamax video died of Reel motor failure , October 2006 and i sold the Squarial on eBay

Well, you certainly have that lot shoehorned in there nicely!
![]() My house seems to be full of junk from the 80's that I just can't be parted from. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing! :roflmao: My garage also seems to be a shrine to old Fords and alloy aftermarket parts ![]() Thanks for sharing.

Well i finally got the dish up today. I decided to put the DiSEqC Switch inside a box rather than leaving it to the elements, so thats what the box is just in case you were wondering. ![]() The last pic is the fruits of my labour. Looks pretty smart doesn't it?
Is it a white dish, or light grey? What make?

you can just see a dish above my sky dish in the background, i need to rip this down to get digitalb next year or put mine up on a higher pole. the middle chimney is my due south location, so no chance of anything west. might be fortunate with a higher pole, but also difficult to fit under the gutter, |
