As if I haven't got enough to do, I've just blown the dust off my old Cryptik programmer, and I'm after programming something. :spite:

You boys in the know card-wise - what can I buy for next to nothing that I can program with my Smartmouse/Phoenix compatible 3.58/6.00Mhz programmer?

I've only used it as a card reader in the Dreambox, so it's never done a decent days work in it's life!

What can I do with it these days? Answers on a postcard, and nothing rude thank-you

Ah yeah, that's true. Don't think I'll be updating the MV codes everyday, but should do the rest for a while.

Will my lowly Cryptik program the Goldie?

No idea. You wont get MV anyway - I dont think goldies have the memory for the AES codes. (from memory something that was posted on the sat.co.uk forum a few weeks ago ymmv)

You must be desperate. I got the dreambox to do away with programmers and cards and cams.

Keep hold of your cards, you might need them to scrape the ice off your car in the next few days.

Ah but theres a certain pleasure from using obsolete or redundant kit - even if its just to see what you can get with it.

LOL, never been into cards and CAMS when you can do it with software, but I do have a morbid fascination with it now. It's sitting there looking at me, taunting me...

Do what I did Stick, put them away in a drawer out of sight.

I have three programmers and umpteen cards all collecting dust. I took them out and looked at them a couple of months back then just put them away again.
