hi,

all, accquired an ex -display technomate 7655 2 va receiver today.

the bloke in the shop done an update on it via a patch lead, so i should be picking up

some free football, hopefully in the near future.

i'm currently bidding on a dish and motor on e-bay, so my main installation

will come at the weekend.

in the meantime, for a bit of practice i was gonna see if i could pick up, hotbird 13 east on the digidish

i'm sure i read somewhere that someone managed it.

am i right in thinking that as the sky dish is already on 28.2 east, that i can just move my dish a couple of degrees to the right,

and i could possibly pick up hotbird.

i personally think that i would need a bigger dish to pick up the signal, but i'm probably wrong.

also would i need to adjust the elevation on the lnb or keep it the same.

You can try it chavslav but you need to move the dish 15.2 degrees west not 2 degrees.

yeah your right, i meant to say couple of inches ( well thats what the bloke in shop said,

i have got a meter,but no instructions, so i'll just have a move round.

got another question,

if i cancel my sky sports package, would i only get free to air sky programmes via the card ?

i only have the sports as premium channels.

If you cancel your sky package completely, you will get just the fta channels which exclude 4 and 5 at the moment, unless you use your sky box and card when you will get free to view as well as the fta channels.

I think I had a senior moment with the above post.
If you have a sky box and card without a subscription, you can get the satellite channels listed at the following site.
