I'm not sure how good the receiver is. Practicality all depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to use a CAM (Dragon maybe, but check compatability) then OK. The built-in Conax is only of any use if you're using a Conax subscription like Digitalb on 16E or Telenor on 1W. If you want to patch it, I don't think the support is that good. Nice looking box, but the price is already £41 with 12 hours still to go and lots of bidding going on
