Hiya Dinkle I am pretty sure there is a plugin for Kaffeine but I am not 100% and don't know how it works either. Try Googling it.

I have finally got things working ok on my new motherboard and vista. Strangely I have to use the Skystar 2 PCI driver because the BDA driver which is supposed to work just crashes my system.

You can use vplug ok with Progdvb just put all the files in Progdvb root or in plugins.

Although up to now I have preferred AltDVB, I cant get the card driver recognised by AltDVB. However, ProgDVB improvements mean that it works ok.

That depends on where you are in the world. If you are in the UK, absolutely not as Dish TV is broadcast on NSS6 at 95e which is well below the horizon to us. Perhaps if you give us a little more infromation we can answer your question properly, i.e Where are you (nearest town or city will do), do you have a subscription, are you looking for just the FTA channels etc.

You have got to understand that unless you are located in the USA or very close to it you will never have a chance of receiving this provider or satellite. If you live in the British Isles you have no chance of receiving this provider, for the simple reason that the satellite on which it is carried is below the horizon from here, as rick has told you before.

A TV tuner cards is just a card which you install to your PC, which allows you to receive terrestrial TV, from a standard TV aerial, which is plugged into the card, st the back of your PC, they are a bit out of date now, as most TV providers have players which you can use to see their programs.

No doubt pc tuner cards are already available in the US - basic ones are exceedingly cheap here in the UK.
