I currently have an Invacom 0.3 twin lnb fitted to my dish. The normal Channel Master arrangement has a feedhorn to direct the signal to the lnb.
I am getting an intermittent loss of signal on one of the lnb outputs. (It may be a PC SS2 card problem) Has anyone tried fitting a monoblock lnb to the Channel Master dish such as the MTI Blueline?

Never heard of a monobloc being used on the CM 1.2 before.
Have you tried swapping the outputs on your twin to see if the problem switches too? It's not unheard of for one output on a twin to go west. Is it very old? The matched feedhorn should give far superior results on your Channel Master. Do you have the feedhorn at the moment, using a C120 LNB? A replacement Invacom C120 twin is £55 at Brymar. You can also get the feedhorn at satellite superstore if you're currently using the 40mm collar version. Most CM owners swear by them.

Thanks for the reply Stick.
I have had the Invacom for about 18 months and yes it is a feedhorn mount. The reason for the question is that the Invacom lnb is so much dearer than the MTI Blueline. I have swapped the lnb connections and it appears to be just one that is playing up although both are ok on the dreambox. I assume it is a problem with the polarity switching. I use the twin lnb so that I can watch one channel and record another on the same satellite on the SS2 card.

I have exactly the same setup, and for the same reasons
![]() The MTI Blue Line is pretty good in my experience, though I've never had either the twin or the C120, but I would definitely keep the feedhorn.
