Newbie here - Need help with French Channels - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

Hello all........ I'm hoping somebody here can help me.

I am desperate to tune into Sport+ channel from France this Saturday which operates from the Astra 1G satellite.

I don't have any special equipment.... just the usual UK Sky digital dish and box.

Can anybody PLEASE tell me if this is at all possible to do just by repointing my dish.... or any other way in which I can do this.

Dont bother - that channel is scrambled, and the Digibox will just give you a blank screen

What is it you want to watch? It may be available somewhere else, but I sort of doubt it

The only way to get that channel is with a paid-for subscription card, a card-share or a web stream AFAIK.

There is a Rugby League game on Saturday night involving my team, and I haven't been able to make it to the game. I've looked everywhere for a web stream, but cannot find it anywhere.

I guess that's the Dragons Catalans/Salford game. I'm afraid there are no easy answers unless you can negotiate a stream from somewhere.
