PLi® Emerald released for most Dreambox versions

The excellent PLi images from our antipodean Friends are out now, and looking pretty good by all reports.

Available for DM7000, DM7020, DM56xx, DM500.

PLi® Emerald images:

The Emerald suite includes the following components:

- 1.09 kernel (2.6.9)
- Kernel of 7020 upgraded to 2.6.9-r3, this fixes the problems with CI-modules
- 1.09 enigma (16032006)
- Front Processor version 1.06 for DM500/56x0/7000
- Front Processor version 1.01 for DM7020
- Squashfs 2.2-r2 with LZMA-compression
- Tuxtxt v1.98
- Web Interface: 5.9.7-Expert

- Custom PLi Web Interface
- New Travel Blue default skin
- 3 skin modes selectable from PLi image setup
- Custom background images for radio and file mode
- /var indicatorbar in Pli setup
- Firewall for the 7020
- VCR recording for the 500
- LCD animation manager via PPanel download
- Autostart gSUB if available, configurable in PLi image setup
- Timeshift improvements: timeshift now starts reliably and smoothly
- PPanel updates including plugins, packages and progress indicator

I've downloaded and installed this image and it seems to behave itself very well.

The download site is very slow but got there in the end.

I have not used the PLi image before and I cant find the emu install location. Can someone let me know where the emu startup file is located for this image?

Ok I've done a bit of reading on the PLi site and answered my own question.
