Default what satellites can i expect to get......

with a 90cm dish in the london area.

managed to get set up on the arc okay, and can now motor to and from sats with no problems.

picking up, sirius 5 east, 13 east hotbird, asta 19 east and astra 28.2 east.

can't get nothing on, eutel w1,w2,w6 which are 10 east,16 east and 21 east ,these were already programmed in to stb.

same for arabsat 30.5 east, and turksat..

not that i want to particularly get these sats, just curius as i set up on sirius near the top of the arc, and am wondering why i'm getting good signal quality on some, and not on others.

would i need a bigger dish to pick up these sats, or am i still out of alignment on the arc.

oh, and congrats stick on giving my boys a good hiding.

If you are getting 5E to 28.2E ok then you should be setup on the right arc. The sats you say you cant get are weaker signals than the ones you have found. However, you should still be able to find the sats including 10E and 16E. Make sure you are scanning on a frequency that is giving a signal for those sats

What signal strength snr are you getting on the 5E, 13E, 19.2E and 28.2E sats?

thanks for reply jim,
getting 70% quality for ART on hotbird. 87% quality for taquilla on astra 19.e, 72% on itv on astra 28.2 east, and finally sirius getting 60% on RT .

not bad quality, just a few in between, not good...

Hi chavslav,
try these channels on these satellites:
7E M6 Suisse 11283 V 27500
10E Eurotic TV 11189 V 6185
16E TVSH Sat 12658 V 4883
With a 90cm dish, and your location, you should get all these, providing your dish is tracking the arc and you have the dish positioned correctly.
Please post back with the results
Best wishes
Mickha

Hi chavslav,
it sounds like you need to do some fine tuning, with your dish elevation, to get the arc correctly. With a 90cm, depending on the dish and LNB quality, you should be getting all the channels I have mentioned, especially considering your location.
If you check lyngsat.com you can get a full list of channels on all available satellites, I haven't bothered with 21.6E, due to the lack of channels on it, but I'll have a search tonight.
Best wishes
Mickha

Sounds like your alignment isn't too far off then

Are you sure you have the Digitalb Transponder 11092 V 32000 5/6 in your transponder list? If not, add it and try a rescan.

There aren't many permanent channels on 16E. Sounds like you have most of them.
