Help! (fairly) New to cards & cams

Hi all, just found this site using google! Maybe one of you nice people can help me... My setup is an 80cm motorised dish with a force 516-s box, which I had installed last April. I bought a matrix reborn CAM to go in the box about 2 months ago. This unlocked loads of Taquillas on 30 west along with some on 19 east. I also have most of the TPS Channels on 13 east. However, in the last 2-3 weeks, Taquillas have gone blank, along with lots of TV Cabo channels - I'm missing MCM, Discovery, Nat Geo etc a lot!. I think from internet research that I can update my CAM with a new access code to re-open some channels. I found some codes on the web which match the codes I've got on screen. I only have on-screen updating via remote control to do this - I haven't got any other cards or a pc programmer. I don't want to fiddle with the codes already on the screen so what can I do?? Any answers greatly appreciated.

Hi Djbaz,
the D+ channels, on Astra1 19E and Hispasat 30W have had an encryption change and are currently unavailable, to get TV Cabo back you just need to update the keys, as I don't have a Matrix Reborn Cam I'm unsure whether you do this via your remote or using an editor to update your cam. If it's like the Matrix Reloaded you can update the keys using your remote control.
Navigate to Nagravision, in your cams menu, and TV Cabo ident 4901, then alter the keys with the updated keys entering the Dec values, to save time only change the keys that need updating.

Thanks for your quick response! I have got as far as the TV-Cabo menu - there are 3 options, one says tv cabo the other 2 are 00 00 and 00 01. So, I put in the numbers,and they changed to a letter/number combination which matched what I found on the internet. I then saved and tried to watch the channels but nothing - just a black screen. Is there another step I need to do to activate these new keys or could they have changed again. I think the keys i had were only a few days old. Sorry to be a pain - any responses greatly appreciated.

I think the TV CABO IDEA key changed on 11th April, so make sure yours is dated after that.

Hello again,
sorry to keep on but by the looks of things, the matrix reborn CAM has not saved the new key code at all - it has gone back to the original key code. I have pressed SAVE when asked on screen, but when I go back to check they have changed back - is there another step I need to do to make sure the new key is properly saved - the key I have was released on 10th april, so this should be ok?
any thoughts?

If the key you have is from April 10th, and the key changed on April 11th, you'll need a new one.

I don't know about the Matrix Reborn, but I'll see if I can find out if nobody else here knows

After a quick look I couldn't find a how-to but there is a CABO fix file out today for the Reborn here:

hi, ive noticed you know what you on about when it comes to tv. lol. im faced with a question and i was wondering if you would be able to answer it...

i have a pace sky digibox with a FTV card in it, its not a sub. i was just wondering if there was any way to update the keys on this as you can with a cable box. EG:'eurovox. i read here that there is such thing as a cam. help in explaining what this is and if i can use it would be appreciated.

also in a different thread there were people refering to the bigmaq toolbar. is there anything for satalite that has similar resorces.

No, it is not possible. If you want the Sky channels you must subscribe.
