Sorry m8, was there a question in there? :roflmao:
I guess you just want to know if the SS2 will work on the loopthrough, right? As the Techno will be dictating to the single LNB both the band (high/low) and the polarisation (horiz/vert) then the SS2 will be limited to 25% of the total number of channels of the satellite. Some loopthoughs on some STB's don't actually work as expected, so there is a certain amount of 'suck it and see'. It'll certainly do for a test and maybe more, but I think you might prefer the twin LNB solution sooner rather than later. I'll be interested to hear your verdict ![]() I'm going to have a lie down and then read your post again, as it sounds like you have more boxes under your TV than me! Cheers STICK

My apologies for the absence of question marks mate.
ops: you managed to find my question anyway ![]() SS2 was delivered earlier today and I have managed somehow to get it to play the 4:2:2 feeds (what I really wanted it for). Loop thru seems to work OK, but I think I will heed your advice before long and go for the twin LNB. I haven't managed to get the remote control to work yet, but I have overcome that problem by controlling the SS2 wirelessly from my laptop, whilst sipping a nice cool beer (no warm beer up here) from the comfort of the recliner. (OK...I know, I'm a lazy git) ![]() I'll "suck it and see" for a few days until I get a little more familiar with it, thanks for all your assistance so far with drivers etc. Regards...fergiz

Nice one fergiz. You clearly have the thing at your mercy ![]() I'm sure it'll give you hours of fun. Give us a nudge when you want to get 'arty' with the decryption plugins. The forum's been far too quiet on that front :spite:

Although the quad is marginally better (especially in fringe areas) the Invacom twin 0.3dB is my firm favourite, if a little pricey. I wouldn't change mine without a fight >
I have both the single and the twin and can't tell much difference between the two. Sometimes folks report that twins underperform slightly when compared to the singles. :? I do find the Invacom very heavy, though it won't matter on a sturdy boom arm. I can imagine it could have an effect on a flimsy dish... I've heard good things about the MTI blue line twin as well, but I only have the single so can't vouch for that personally. I've heard reports that the C120 outperforms the standard 40mm neck fitting, but you won't be interested in that I guess. Also the Inverto twin 0.3dB "White Tech" would be on my list of things to try before I meet my maker. I have the single Silver Inverto's too (FFS how many LNBs do you need Stick?!?) and they are pretty reasonable. I've never really stacked them up 1:1 against my Invacom or MTI for a head-to-head shootout, but they do OK on my multi-LNB dish. The Invertos are ridiculously small and light and somehow seem very desirable, but then I'm reaching that sort of age you know... I'll stop there before the men in white coats come knocking ![]()

hi m8,feeds are fine on ss2 with prog dvb,7 east is your best place to scan first once setup for 4.2.2.older versions are fine with prog for 4.2.2.i use my ss2 card from my t 90 or my 1.8 channel master.now on my 1.8 dish i have a Invacom quad & feedhorn its c120 fitting, this works a dream for feeds.dish size is the most important thing with feeds no matter what lnb.anyone going into feeds you will need at least a meter dish, but if you can go bigger the better the reuslts & the more your find.this is in the uk.hope this helps you along.all the best.

Thanks for the replies guys, I had a look for some of the LNB's that you recommended Stick, but they were a bit pricy for me so I went for a Smart Titanium 0.2db twin LNB (It'll have to do for now) I've got it fitted and everything seems ok. I couldn't get self amalgamating tape so I used some plumbers PTFE tape and then wrapped the F Connectors with insulating Tape. I'll do it properly when I source the S.A.Tape
I now have a spare LNB (I didn't know what LNB was on my dish, it turned out to be a Fortec Star 0.3DB so I'm now on the look out for a dish to stick it on :roflmao: I'll try to find a nice big one for my garden over 1 metre as Satsid recommends. ( I love these smileys)

Sounds good.
I love watching folks get slowly sucked into this hobby ![]() You have a spare LNB and it seems a shame not to get a huge dish to put it on, then it'll be another receiver, and so on. ![]() My wife's getting worried as I've just bought a box of 100 F connectors :roflmao:
