Default Eurosport signs five-year snooker deal

Eurosport has signed a major five-year deal to air all snooker events from the World Snooker Association (WSA).

The channel plans to broadcast at least 300 hours a year of live coverage, including The Grand Prix, The UK Champs, The Masters, The Malta Cup, The Welsh Open, The China Open and The World Championships.

"World Snooker is delighted that TWI has secured such an excellent long term deal with Eurosport," said Sir Rodney Walker, Chairman of World Snooker Limited. "The many hours of coverage and extensive geographical reach that Eurosport provides is undoubtedly helping to build interest and participation in the sport in Europe and the Middle East."
