@ Analoguesat

Eeeeewwww,I wouldn't want to touch the sim,never mind sell it.
I just wish the retailerswould keep it themselves,and just give me the cam.

@Mickha

Are you telling me that the use of my Sky card in the dragon cam is not legal,if so it's a route I don't want to take then.
I have been made aware I'll have to refresh the Sky card in the digibox.
I am also aware that channels can be deleted and have done so!,on a fta receiver,but that's the beauty of a fta receiver,is it not,you can create and recreate your own personalised channel list.
You certainly haven't put me off,in fact your sympathetic understanding of my requirements has definitely helped.(I thought I would be laughed or flamed off the forum,for my standpoint)

Many Thanks to all.

You certainly won't get flamed here for your views on satellite equipment.

I understand your thoughts on the automatic inclusion of porn stuff with hardware, and personally find it a little strange too.

I don't have a problem with it, but you wouldn't expect to go to Tesco for a pint of milk and get a free porno mag would you? ops:

Unfortunately the legality of the Dragon CAM supporting the Sky card has never (to my knowledge) been tested in a court of law. I wouldn't like to say which way it would go, as it's a legitimate card after all.

The problem is that the Predator software you would have to load to do that would also provide extra functionality that IF USED to decrypt other pay-tv without subscription most certainly would be illegal. Just having it on the CAM may or may not be though.

I'm not a legal expert, but if you want to guarantee legality, then you must stick to either FTA, buy a subscription card and insert it in a non-patched receiver's card reader slot, or get the Sky UK FTV card and stick it an original Sky digibox.

Regards,

STICK

Whilst most sellers provide the INXTC Channel card free, it looks like

_http://www.dvb-shop24.net/product_info.php/info/p141_T-REX-with-Dragon-Loader-card.html

sells just the cam and its loader card.

@BGonaSTICK

I should have stated that I have 2 digiboxes with viewing cards,so viewing the channels and recording to video is not an issue.
It is simply for recording the ftv channels to the fta satellite pvr,(which has not been modified in any way),that led me to enquire about the dragon cam.

@Analoguesat

Thanks for the link,knew you would come up the goods.
Though,I think I'll stick to recording to video.

Thanks guys
