I have a motorized manhatten starlight,I have bought a dragon cam and loader card ,and installed predator 3.43 ,I need some help on where to go from here, I have some fun 4 and 6 cards, can I use them ?. I bought them for the built in u-cas cam built in to my receiver. What kind of programs (format) do I need for dragon ? Where can I find out about this subject or even a book? Hello m8, nice to have you here
:welc1:You installed Predator 3.43 using the loader card and your Infinity Phoenix to program it? Why do you want to use the fun cards? Sorry, it's difficult to read your level of expertise from your post, but you do realise that Predator itself will unlock loads of channels? If you didn't know this, then please give it a try ![]() Here's how you would enter/update Cryptoworks keys for example: Quote:

Thanks very much for that information I will now be able to put it to use. I used to watch many film and blue channels on various sat using fun card programed with 6 in 1 programs that I used to down load from a couple of sites. These have almost stopped being available and I think my U-CAS cam is probably out of date. a dealer suggested dragon cam but not much information to go with it. I presume all encryption keys can be updated in the same way. I have a sky receiver also can I use my sky card in the dragon cam. I live in Thailand some time of every year and have a 2.5 meter motorized dish but the dragon does not decode many channels is there any programs that I can put on cards to give me more programs like MTV . Is there a better cam than dragon? Can I install two cams at once. and would it make sense I realize cam slots have a priority. I have so many Questions and much to learn I appreciate the help you have given already and don't want to take up all your time is there any site that I can read about this subject?

Well Derek is way ahead of me.
I have a twin tuner pvr, with 2 ci slots. Obviously I cannot record the ftv channels i.e Channel 4 etc. I have read that by the use of a dragon/t-rex cam,I can view and therefore record the ftv channels on the pvr. I mistakenly assumed that it was simple as buying a dragon/t-rex can,and inserting the Sky card, but i now understand that the dragon/t-rex cam has to be preloaded with software, before it will work. What I want to know is which programmer do I need for this job,and do I need a loader card as well, and is the software available freely. Thanks. |

To keep a dragon up to date you need a phoenix programmer like the Infinty Programmer. The software images are updated regularly and freely available from at least 2 sites.
_http://www.dragonmodul.com/ _http://www.ucassupport.nl/dragonsupport/english/Software.htmhttp://www.dragonmodul.com/ Dragons plus their loader cards are about 85 quid from uk suppliers, a bit less from abroad. This often includes a 9 month subs to one or two h/c porn services. Phoenix programmers are around 60 quid.

OK, I'm sure I can kill a few birds with a few less stones here
![]() Right, I'll have a bit of a waffle and then tidy up any loose ends later. Dragon CAM. It needs to be loaded with the Predator software. You can either do this with multiple fun cards (IIRC) or more simply by one Dragon loader card, which is about £12. If you're going to be doing plenty of this you might consider a CAS2 or a CAS3 programmer, which programs the CAM directly with no cards involved. There is simply no better CAM than the Dragon, and hasn't been for a long time. Dragon is king. You should be able to use more than one at a time (or certainly swap them in and out in the one slot) to get just about anything that's available. Different versions of Predator support different encryptions etc. Some version support the Sky UK card, but the last few do not. There is only so much 'room' in the CAM so it tends to be 'First In First Out'. The latest two or three versions now support Cryptoworks and have dropped the Sky UK support to make room. You can always stick an older version of predator on and update any other keys manually if required. There is no definitive 'book' on the Dragon, so please feel free to ask all your questions here. We have no problem walking you through as much stuff as you want. If you want a good primer on some basic cards/CAM's/programmers etc, then try www.duwgati.com. The Dragon will support the FTV, yes - and much more. I can look up which was the last version to support Sky UK if you want, but I think it was the version before 3.4x Does that cover it? ![]() If not, let's go for round two

Thanks for the rapid response and software links,Analoguesat.
However,I do want to point out, that my reluntance up to now,for even buying a dragon/t-rex cam is most of the retailers are offering them with pre-loaded porn channels, and this is something I vehemently do not want .I've even requested some retailers, whether they will unload the software or not to include the porn sim,but they respond, with that's it's free, assuming all customers want porn. Well,if anybody can point me in the direction,of a dragon retailer, that does sell a porn free cam, could they post a link. Thanks. |

That clear and simple helpthrough has cleared the skies. I have visited www.duwgati.com,which has made some things clearer. Next hurdle, trying to find the equipment cheap. |

Hi SAT-WORLD,
the Dragon T/Rex 4.1 cams have a SIM card included that opens INXTC and XPLUS on Hotbird 13E and Eutelsat W1 10E, but to avoid these channels simply remove the Sim card, which can be done in 5 seconds. Alternatively you can buy an earlier version of the Dragon Cam which does not contain the SIM card option. Unfortunately, in this hobby, that will not stop you receiving porn channels, the Predator firmware, you upgrade your Dragon Cam with, will open a variety of channels, and some of these will be porn channels, including 4 or 5 Multivision film channels which become porn channels after 11PM UK time, and various channels, on a wide variety of satellites, that do the same. And there's a number of FTA (Free to Air) channels will carry images that might offend you, if you truly don't want access to any porn then the only way is to manually delete these channels and use your receivers parental control facility to stop others tuning them in again. The Dragon Cam, can act as a digibox, to decode S*y channels and FTV (Free to View) channels off Astra 28.2E, providing you have a legitimate card, but to maintain viewing S*y subscription channels this card has to be returned to a digibox to be updated every month or so, as the Dragon Cam can not emulate this function, and there is no certainty that the Dragon, or any other Cam, will always be able to decode a S*y card, has this is not a legitimate alternative to a digibox, and, at some point in the future, S*y might upgrade to stop this facility working. I hope this has not put you off our hobby. Best wishes Mickha |
