Well, for a start there's Digital + and Premiere on 19.2E

As far as a patch is concerned, have a look for patches for the Comag SL65, as that's what your box is, just re-badged.

If I come across one, I'll post back here, though I'm not sure what it will open now. I think it used to do TPS on 13E, but it won't do that now the encryption has changed again.

ive noticed digital plus come up on quite a few of the channels when they are encrypted.

Is this like the french version of sky then??

Lots of the canal+ channels on offer that are encrypted do interest me greatly so if this was the case that a box with a patch would make them available i would seriously have to look into a new decoder.

cheers jim

The trouble with it all is, is that whatever you get is a bonus and you have to work at keeping them going. They can all disappear tomorrow, but the reality is that there is usually something open somewhere.

Check out all the various packages here:

so basically a new decoder box thing is a must??

What would you reccomend for a tight budget that has the option of lots of hacks for extra channels??

Is it best to get a box with a card slot??

Thanks for continued help
Jim

If you're on a tight budget, you can drop card slots and CI slots. The Technomate TM-1000D has few equals. If you want those slots, the TM-1500 CI+ is king for around £100. The former can be had ready-patched off ebay for £60.

Firmware patches for these STB's are the best available outside of the top Linux boxes, which is why we recommend them.

The ebay option looks appealing however im never sure about spending that amount of money on ebay knowing the seller can just disappear!!

What are the best online shops to buy technomates from??

I take it that by patching it the warranty becomes void and therefore useless??

So if i was to point my dish at 19.2 as i currently am and then add a patched technomate stb what channels would i get??

Digital + seems good
Premiere seems ok

Any other packages/channels apart from the above i would be able to get??

Cheers Jim

Yes that works but it is fixed for two satellites and cant be changed. Separate lnbs can be adjusted if you wand to move to a different satellite

Hi Jim,

I bought my Technomate off e-bay, no problems at all !* I've just checked and here is a link to the guy, i ordered it 11pm one evening and it arrived the morning of the second day !* fully patched and it arrived with a CD full of info, even videos on how to patch.

Here's a current link :

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Technomate-150...QQcmdZViewItem

fully recommeded

Yes, I'd go for multi LNB's or even better, a motor. Flexibility is the name of the game. The Lidl dish doesn't have a multi-LNB attachment available though AFAIK.

If you want more than a new receiver, D+ and Premiere all for £60, then you should probably go for the Ferrari 360 as well :roflmao:

Those two packages are massive. The 12 or whatever Premiere sport channels are packed with movies when there's no sport on. Together they make Sky UK look pathetic even when you throw in all the PPV!
