Cool!
Thanks for the update Bilbo ![]() Be sure to give us a complete rundown just as soon as you can tear yourself away from the screen ![]() Maybe you could describe the patching procedure for us, and how easy you found it? Good luck with it m8. STICK

Finally managed to pull myself away
* and all I can say is HD is absolutly fantastic, the quality/clearness of the pictures is mind blowing !!!* I've been watching various HD promo channels and the BBC HD preview for the last 2 hours ![]() Ok, my setup is, Multi LNB setup, looking 28.2E, 19.2E and 13E,* New Humax HDCI2000 reciever, Sony 40" Bravia screen using the HDMI interface. Even on the 40" screen it looks as crisp as anything. My views on the Humax, having read the proffesional review that was written on the 1000 unit (you can see in a previous post) matches that in as much the video quality is excellent as is the sound quality. The user interface I find a little 'clunky', and I dont particuarly like the way the initial channel information is displayed, I find the Technomate I have much easier. It took me a couple attempts to setup the various LNB's and disq settings, I thought I'd saved the info but when I then went to scan I had to re-enter the info ?.* Having said that, the more I used it, the easier it became to navigate around. Then patch couldn't havve been easier to apply, basically a serial download from a PC. The steps and things you need are :- 1. A null modem cable, both ends being 9pin D type female 2. The serial downloader program, either WDN4OAK+ or Formula for Neo* (i used WDN4OAK+) 3. the patch (its a .HDF file) Leave the Humax switch off ie off, not left in* standby Fire up WDN, choose the comm port you are using, baud 115200 and the patch file, it will then say 'waiting for Humax connection' at this point switch on the Humax and the download should automatically start, you'll see the bytes tranfered counter incrementing, don't do anything until the front of the STB says END. at this point it does an auto reboot, but I powered cycled mine as well. Hey Presto all done !! Took me about 10mins max If STICK says it's Ok to add the patch and WDN software to a post I will as they are legit after all * patch is about a meg, the software just over a meg.Lets hope there are a few more FTA HD channels coming our way in the future !!! All I need to get in now for the world cup is the beer ![]() If theres any questions, let me know* ![]() ![]() Bilbo

Excellent. I'm really pleased for you m8
![]() Thanks for the write-up. Please feel free to post the loader, but only a non-live link to the firmware. We would like to allow legit firmware here, but once we make an exception to our rules, anything could get posted in the future and we can't tell the difference between legit and dodgy without loading it into a receiver. Sure you understand :spite: STICK

Just read a report that the CI slots on the Humax are still functioning 100% after application of the patch
