If anyone has been having problems with loss of signal* / picture breakup during this hot spell, try hosing down the lnb (the bit on the end of the arm on the dish). This will cool it down.
Sounds silly, but the insanely hot temperatures could be pushing a failing lnb off tune (theres a little electronic oscillator in there and if it drifts off frequency it can cause problems. DONT dunk the lnb into a bowl of water- that would be bad -- you want to cool it not drown it ! :'(Should this cure a problem you need to be thinking about replacing the lnb - especially if its been up a few years.... Remember the earliest Sky Digital dishes have been up nearly 8 years now
