Heres the official announcement off the website
From today June 12th 2006 Radio Caroline is accessible via Sky's Electronic Programme Guide (EPG). It's been a long time coming and we must thank those many people who have donated money to our EPG Fund to bring this to fruition. Being on Sky's EPG will bring us more listeners, some of whom may remember the station from our offshore days but many will be listening for the first time. If you are one of them and have come to our web site to find out more, then welcome. There are probably a number of questions you want to ask and in anticipation of this Station Manager Peter Moore has written the following mission statement: Yes, we are the same station that famously broadcast from ships at sea from 1964 to 1990. We might still be at sea had it not been for a dramatic shipwreck and a sinister change to UK law. No, we are not owned by or connected with any other radio station or holding group, we are totally independent. Yes, many of our presenters and staff were with us during our time at sea and yes we still have our 'pirate ship' MV Ross Revenge, currently under restoration. Perhaps we will one day broadcast from our ship again. Certainly we would like to invite the public on board when restoration is more advanced. We are all volunteers. Nobody in Caroline whether on air or behind the scenes, or even the Boss, gets a wage or takes any expenses. We create radio for the love of it. Some of our guys have walked out of good radio jobs to return to Caroline. We don't have a Board of Directors or any Shareholders, we are just an informal team working with a common aim to make Caroline great again and to play good music 24 hours a day. To raise cash to fix up our boat we sell memorabilia at our web shop. To pay for the broadcasts we have a Supporters Group. If you fall in love with Caroline you might wish to join this group. If you just want to enjoy the music, that's fine by us as well. Ask any other questions that you may have via e mail. Go to our History section to read the full 42 year story of Radio Caroline. Keep listening, there's only one Radio Caroline and we are unique in UK radio.
