It appears that some Sky viewers have received an EPG software update which includes a new feature to help maintain their digibox.
Although the finer details of this feature are still unclear at this stage, the new update is primarily intended to fix digiboxes that have unstable EPG software. A Sky spokesman has described the new System Health Check feature as a "diagnostic tool" adding "it will be used by the technical support guys in Scotland to extract hardware information from the Sky Box in the event of any problems in order to better understand where the problem is." So far it appears only Sky+ Amstrad version 3 digibox owners have received the latest update. Another inclusion in the update is to turn off all pin control on playback of recordings. Previously a pin was required on all programmes that are deemed to be of adult content. Source: Sky Digi Online
