Not sure if anyone else has come across a successful firmware transplant :? but I haven't heard of it actually being done.
I have read rumours that it should be possible as the two boxes are very similar, but I certainly wouldn't try it until you've seen a number of confirmed reports. You will possibly render your box useless and incur a nasty repair bill. Based on that, I'd have to recommend that you don't do it at the moment. If it's possible, then I'm sure it'll become a popular modification. STICK

I should add that there are plenty of PR-HD1000 users waiting for a BBC HD fix, and some rumours that it will come after the World Cup, but personally I think it's unlikely.
My guess is that Premiere will apply enough pressure to Humax to stop it happening, to preserve viewer numbers. The fact that Cerebro sales are now going through the roof is neither here nor there!
