Extreme Sports Channel is to join the BSkyB retail offering. The Liberty Global-owned channel is to join the News & Events package next month alongside British Eurosport, Sky Sports News, Motors TV, Sky News and Fox News. It was previously broadcast free-to-air and was a significant part of the free-to-air offering from 28 degrees East.

“Sky are a key strategic partner for the channel and we’re pleased to be strengthening our relationship with them,” said Extreme’s Deputy MD Russell Barash. Late last year Extreme appointed Sky Media, BSkyB’s advertising sales division, to sell its UK advertising.
