Asiastar to undergo maintenance
WorldSpace India has announced that it will be conducting maintenance of its Asiastar satellite. A series of operational checks, instrumentation and telemetry activities are planned to be undertaken from 28th June ’06 to 3rd July ’06 (both days inclusive). These activities will be carried out between 0200 IST and 0500 IST (2030-2330 UTC) everyday between the dates mentioned. This is to ensure that the entire system and equipment is working at its maximum operation efficiency. The work will cause disruption to services between the times specified. WorldSpace says that all efforts are being made to minimize the duration of the maintenance tests, and apologizes to listeners for any inconvenience caused.*
