Default My Triax TD88 now grabbing 58W - new territory for me :D

Continued testing and tweaking of my small motorised Triax dish is bringing me new stuff daily.

Today I'm pulling in Aastha TV on 11477 H 26463 3/4 and Cubavisión Internacional from 11612 H 3670 3/4 both from PAS9 at 58W.

I'm really pleased with my new extended viewing capability. I just need to 'trim' a tree limiting my extreme eastern viewing now

STICK

Nice tweak Stick.

That far round is behind a lot of trees here & I dont think the landowner would be pleased with me taking a chainsaw to them :?

Shame you can get Aastha on 28E and Cubavision on 19E though.....

Hey, come on - it's the '58 Westness' of it that I'm pleased about, not the blinkin' programming!

I don't even watch TV! :roflmao:

Hi BGonaSTICK,
I'm jealous as I can get East but not West, where I am at the moment, vrery limited from 1W to 28E, but how far East can you get and can your dish pull in Fox Sports 16E 11021 H 2894. Just curious how good the Triax 88 dish is, and especially with your great location, Brighton.
Best wishes
Mickha

I had pretty bad limitations too - 19.2E to 5W only, hence the recent re-hash.

I think something may have moved on my setup, as although everything on the west is now great, the eastern side isn't so good.

Whereas when I set it up I was getting a crushing signal from Astra2, I'm now getting naff all, and whilst I can get some 16E transponders, I'm getting nothing from the one you mention.

I've got a stupid young-but-tall silver birch tree waving around on the eastern side so it might be that, or it might be my computer (using SS2) which is having an overheating 'mare ATM and keeps locking up. The rubbish version of ProgDVB I'm using isn't helping either - if I try and perform a single transponder scan, it just locks up >

If I spend any more time on my dish setup as opposed to getting a few 'proper' jobs done, I'm going to be in deepest doo-doo, so it'll all have to wait until next week!

In the North West we need over a 1 Metre dish to get Fox Sports on 16E, just wondering if you could pick it up from your location on a smaller dish. I have a 1.2M Channel Master and get a reasonably strong signal, 65%.
Perfect time for playing with your set up, in between World Cup games, of course !!!!!!!

When we get knocked out ( ), I'll slide the 19.2E LNB along the arm on my TD110 for a quick test too

Not had much time to do any real fine-tuning yet. Had a quick look this afternoon and nothing seems to have moved, so I think it's chainsaw time! :spite:

Hi Mickha.

Just had a tweak, the dish had moved a fraction. Can get Fox Sports on 11021 H with a belting 73% signal strength, 99% quality on my TD88
