DSF and other channels not working on 19.2??

Has anyone else had some channels such as the sports channel dsf stop working on 19.2 all of a sudden despite other channels still having a great signal so its not because the dish has moved??

Other channels around dsf on the channel list have stopped working however still work.

Im in no hurry for this channel because its german just sometimes it has some good things to watch.

Any ideas why it dosnt work all of a sudden??

Not sure which other channels you're having problems with, but I'm getting a reasonable signal on DSF but a horrendously broken video stream, which actually crashed my Dreambox.

Not sure what the answer is. Let's wait and see what happens.

This afternoon, Wednesday 21st, I noticed that many of the German channels at 19.2E had disappeared, 12480V 27500, 12610V 22000, 12633H 22000, and a few more. From another website, the excellent Digitalsat, I noticed that they were all from the one satellite, Astra 1H. Is it possible that there is some re-programming going on to move channels to the new Astra 1KR? - just a thought.

Yes, possibly a complicated reshuffle. SES don't seem to be performing the straight transfer it looked on paper...

From where I am, in Scotland, most of the channels came back bit by bit about 5.45 p.m. (British Summer Time - although it is blowing a gale and raining here in Paisley for the longest day of the year!!). The power seems a bit variable, with BBC World Service being the best signal but some of the German stations seem to on a lower power. Difficult to tell tonight as my dish is bouncing about in the wind, but most channels are giving a clear and steady picture and sound.

Might be due to changing thing you guys are on about currently on 19.2 so ill have to wait and see if things improve over next few days.

Diapason brings me to another thing which is ive never been able to get sky news, cnbc europe or bbc world service dspite having a signal quality of 70% (which seems to be good) on the working channels. I know my dish is real small like 40cm but surely if the quality is good on other channels they should at least be picked up poorly rather than nothing at all??

Any ideas why i cant get those to work?

Jim, regarding your missing channels, do you get anything in terms or signal strength or quality on those channels? Have you tried rescanning the affected transponders?

Read your comments, Jim One. I have a Fortec Classic Lifetime box (not anything to do with sky digital). At 19.2E I found the following on 11597V, 22000 5/6. :-

RTM Maroc, TRT International, DW TV(German), CNBC Europe, BBC Word Service, Sky News International and TV5 Monde(French).

I can add frequencies to the set up and then scan for TPs. Doing that will produce all these channels - at least it did for me. Hope that's helpful.

I dont have any signal quality at all for any of the channels dsf and other missing and tried rescanning and they still appear on channel list just no signal.

Its same with cnbc etc however ive never had these but they have no signal quality at all despite being on my rescanned channel list.

OK, just doing a few more tests. I have the same situation as yesterday with DSF on my Dreambox. Blocky video and breaking up despite reasonable signal and quality readings.

However, DSF coming in fine on my Skystar 2 with 65% signal strength (SS2 does not give useable quality readings).

I have CNBC Europe at 75% signal strength and no problems on both SS2 and Dreambox on two different dishes.

CNBC Europe is fairly near the DECT telephone frequency, so if you have one, try turning it off and removing handset batteries.
