Hi roy007,
if you're moving the dish physically you will have lost the arc. If you live in England, reset your motor to 0, ensure your pole is 100% vertical and then move the dish and motor until you're pointing at Thor 1W, this is the nearest satellite to true south for England. What size dish are you using and what motor? Best wishes Mickha |

If you were getting the same channels, then your motor wasn't moving
![]() Do as Mickha says, and/or at least see if you can get your motor to move. Get someone to watch it, or mark the position and drive it from its eastern limit to its Western limit as a test. Your motor must be 36V (as your receiver does not have DiSEqC 1.2) so maybe a motor connection has corroded or come loose?

one good result, ive found my manual!!!
Ive done all the suggestions youve made. Ive done a factory reset, and set the unit up again. Ive got 15 satellites from Express in the west to ARAB2/3 in the east. Guess what no Asta2 !! It should be between Astra1 and Arab2/3 nothing! Hundreds of channels on Asta1 and non on Astra 2 What am i doing wrong any more suggestions? I live near Swanley in Kent and have a 90cm dish. The dish is moving OK. Cheers Roy007 |

Hi roy007,
unless there is an obstruction, impeding the signal, you should get a strong signal, try a different trasponder, ITV 10758 V 22000 and move your dish just a couple of degrees west of Arabsat 2B, 30.5W. Please post back with the results. Best wishes Mickha |

ARAB2/3 in the east
This will be the setting for the now renamed Badr's 2 & 3 at 26E - you need to go a bit further eastwards! You should get some interesting Arabic services off Badr 3. One of the most fascinating is Eri TV (Eritrea!) You can forget anything on Badr 2 - its aimed at the Mediterranean and is very weak in the UK. roy007 - have a look at my website (www.digita l s a t.co.uk - you will need to remove the spaces in the name - one of the board filters breaks the url....) Just about anything listed on the site should be within range of your dish - the site only lists the free to air stuff and is aimed at the beginners end of the hobby with the idea of only listing the easy stuff to see...

Thanks once again for the assistance and suggestions.
I have a satellite repair shop not far from me Id already had a word with them about my problem. One of the chaps came round to see if he could fix my problem after considerable time the only suggestion he came up with was that the dish, was being obstructed by some nearby trees and recommended i have the dish checked.( he didnt do that side of it) The next day i thought id have a last go at it!! It works. for what reason i dont know Anyway im well pleased with the results and your efforts at fixing the problem. I have certainly learnt a lot about the subject. I have visited digitalsat.co (very useful site. ) Thanks again. Roy007 |
