Your Sky HD box should work the same way.

If the picture is a bit dodgy on one TV, try a different RF channel. If still no good, then yes, try an amplifier like one of those from Satcure, and get a remote eye compatable one if you want to try that either now or in the future.

Does the bad picture switch to the bathroom if you swap RF1 and RF2 over?

Glad you're on the way now

no. bad picture stays when swap over RF1 and RF2 cables.

Thinking I need a skylink compatible amplified splitter but not sure if SLX2CF or T120 is right / best?

I also have an Digisender Gold I brought from my old flat which I used to trasmit cable TV to another room, but this used scart. Don't want to complicate things but would this help in any way?

Yes, looks like it's amplifier time then.

There's a small chance it might need an attenuator instead, and that would be a lot cheaper. Might be worth a try if you have one knocking around. A useful thing to have at the back of a drawer in any case.

Your digisender won't be any good if you can't get a SCART connection into either of your bedroom/bathroom TV's, but you might be able to use it if you ever put a telly back into the kitchen?

The choice of amp is, I guess, a personal decision, but based on the fact that it's the only real cost you're going to incur to get the whole lot up and running, I'd go for the better quality Global Txx.

Based on the fact that it's only an extra pound for the 4-way over the 2-way, I'd also go for that.

F140/G black 4-way amplifier with F connectors £19.95

F connectors are more professional too

You won't need the extra power supply if you run it off RF2, as the digibox will supply the 9V required.

Just found this very good page at Satcure too:

http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/amps.htm#rfamp

It also mentions the possibility that an attenuator may also do the trick as opposed to an amplifier. Worth a go.
