Hi satsid,
All I can find on Satellite-heaven, which lists a lot of receivers is a link to worldofsatellite and one link to patched software for the digital receivers. Worldofsatellite has a banner for Star Trak and contact information, but only information on digital receivers.
With 8 extra connections at the back it must have a lot of possibilities, I can think 2 might be for polarity + and -, for the old type of LNB's, I used to have one with my old Nokia box. If there are no other connections on the back, 2 might be for speakers, others might be for 0/12 volt switching and IR link.
Is anything printed on the back of the receiver, or has it worn off? Are these all spring clip connectors?
At least this should keep you occupied for the weekend, I'm beginning to wish I'd found one to play with
Have a nice play with it and please keep us updated.
Best wishes
Mickha

hi guys many thx for your replies here.ok for the back wires now.from left to right looking at the back of the receiver first 4 are polarity(+5up_down-thing gnd & ferr)in the middel c/ku.now the actuator (gnd m with up&down sign & last motor.now there are 2 others that were covered by a plastic cap.these 2 were moveing the dish before i think, here what thay read from left to right(m1-24v 3A max class11 wiring)i tryed this with scart to scart but there are lot of rfa jack points as well for vid & aud.run & prog switch is on the back as said before,i got no joy with it but the leads might be in wrong.iv broke this down for now to post here and read the back.once i get some news on how she is wired up then i will have another go lol.im sure someone must know this receiver.trust me to by on the cheep with no manual but the receiver is brand new & never used before.so who sold must have kept the manual.

Hi Satsid - slad to hear you got yourself sorted out. I was off down in Gloucestershire haveing a break in the sun.

The extra connections on the back of the receiver were probably for a polorotator on the ancient lnbs this would have been connected to originally..

Ive got an old Lux-summat analogue receiver tucked away somewhere which used to be connected to a 36v system and joined to a 1.2m dish on the roof of my workplace It was used for the French services long ago on the old low power Eutelsat birds. Must see if I can get it up and running sometime - on a fixed dish though....

Nice one Sid

Was it just a case of trying all the wires in different connectors, or was there something wrong?

hi m8 the funny thing with this that though me off was,the lnb contions.i will explan.it says on 1 of the 2 ku/c.now the other 1 says c/h.like most guys would think the ku/c is where the coxal would go to the receiver.but if you want to set the posions for each satellite, you have to do it with the c/h one.my wireing was right from the off for the posiner.this done my nut in for a bit lol.as all know here im not a newbie in this game,iv had alog receivers with posioners before.never no problems till this 1.the tip for the switch came in very handy.so a big thanks there.i never had the right amount of time to re-set up till today.now very please shes up & running in ku band.now my nexst step when the wether is better & not to windy is c-band.im ready to go as lnb is now on my dish.any tips before i try with c-band would be good on setup for alog.26e will be my first 1 to try.
thx.
