'Left' and 'right' handed circular polarisation is completely different to Horizontal and vertical polarisation I'm afraid, and yes, you will need a different LNB.
Circular polarisation is quite clever, whereby the signal is modulated onto a spiral shaped carrier, which is either left-handed or right-handed like a screw thread. There is very little circular polarisation used in Europe, but plenty in the US. You can read a long-winded and frankly pretty boring description at Wikipedia, but it has a nice picture of a spiral: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circular_polarization Hope this helps. STICK

Circular polarization used to be used in Europe, (The two BSB satellites used RHC) but it died a death with the end of the early DTH broadcasting systems in the mid 1990's (BSB 1 & 2, Olympus 1 etc)

DISH use a lot of circular on Ku band too, like 129W and 148W for example.
