Hi redrobbo.

From their website: http://www.cspan.org/about/index.asp?code=About

Quote:
C-SPAN is a private, non-profit company, created in 1979 by the cable television industry as a public service. Our mission is to provide public access to the political process. C-SPAN receives no government funding; operations are funded by fees paid by cable and satellite affiliates who carry C-SPAN programming.
So yes, it's an American Cable group of channels, and not available on satellite as far as I can tell.

Unless anyone else knows different of course...

Not this weekend gone, but 1 week or maybe 2 ago I got C-Span on Sunday on BBC prliament from mid-day till 3p.m.. It wasn't there last Sunday and haven't seen the August schedule for BBC Parliament. It was I think a live relay. They had top quality interviewees. Woulld look again if it was on.
