It is probably because most of the channels (including the BBC ones) have B$KB set as their provider.

Yes Ferret, it is a pity that even if you want to watch only BBC fta, the public have been brainwashed into thinking they have to pay to watch it via $KY.

However a hell of a lot of people are cancelling $KY £50 a month, as the
economic bites,
