Default Lidl carrying satellite stuff next week

Your local Lidl store is carrying assorted satellite stuff from Monday 28th. Please note the receivers CANNOT be used to view the sky pay channels. or C4 and C5, but are perfectly adequate for the fta stuff. The lnb's are very cheap if anyone needs bits for a project.

Thanks - my local store are selling LNBs for £3.99 and satellite finders for the same price - that'll save a trip onto the garage roof every time I want to change satellites. I'll be first in the queue!!

Our nearest is 20 miles away, but I might take a trip over in the evening to see if I find anything. (The Hawick branch is normally useless - last time I was over not only did they not have any sat gear the staff didnt know anything about it......)

If you go to their Website, type your Postcode
It will show YOUR local branch and what THEY have on offer.
Quite a lot of their specials are regional.

Hi AfterTime. Welcome to Satellite Help

I just pulled this image from the Lidl site.

If I had to write a caption for this, it would go something like:

Quote:
"Oh darling, another silver box to go under the TV! - I'll definitely have sex with you tonight if you spend the rest of the week up a ladder installing it for me"

Actually, what she's saying through a false smile and gritted teeth is:

Quote:
"Step AWAY from the satellite receiver, or I'll start putting ground glass in your toothpaste again. If you even THINK about any more geek-boy technology before you refit my kitchen then you'll be wearing your testicles as a necklace. OK?"

Hrmph...men are *so* unobservant!

Note first...he is not pushing the trolley! The first thing a woman does when she gets a man is make *him* push the trolley...so it's a given, therefore, that they're not together. This puts the whole episode in a different light! So...interpreting the back story to this picture I see this scenario:

It's the last box in the store (see...it's an opened box, it's the display item!) NerdBoy got there first so GeekGrrl prevents his escape by quickly boxing him in with her trolley (see...he's trapped). She then turns and smiles, fluttering the old eyelashes relying on the centuries old fact that glasses wearing NerdBoys like him (see..the glasses) will be so desperate to get a look in that they'll easily be distracted from what they're doing. It is working (see...he's not even looking at the receiver he's picking up).

That's the back story. This is what happens next.

GeekGrrl smiles sweetly whilst at the same time manouvering the rear wheel of the heavy trolley (see...it's full of heavy water based stuff like fruit) onto his foot. She then wedges the front wheel into the display stand effectively pinning him to the spot. Still smiling (it's like a snake rolling its eyes, mesmerising its prey) she slowly and gently removes the receiver from his hands. Once in her posession she legs it to the checkout, leaving NerdBoy in a dream-like trance which he doesn't come out of for another 10 minutes. By which time she is long gone with the last Lidl receiver! He then has to call over a spotty shelf stacking youth to help him get the trolley off his foot whilst still wondering where the receiver went!

That is a woman to be respected! She knows her stuff!

Alcina

LOL!

He could be saying to her:

Quote:
"Look here! Something to go with those lovely healthy items in your trolley! You have pineapples, nectarines, orange juice - what about one of these digital smoothie makers?"
Ahh, maybe you're right after all.

Maybe they're not together. Surely no man would be so subservient as to allow the weekly housekeeping to be spent on heaps of biodegradable rubbish like fruit. By the time they reached the satellite aisle, the trolley would already be full of DVD recorders, beers (err, I don't think these hang around long enough to go bad!) and powertools...

ops:

Maybe he's trying to pick her up with:

Quote:
"'Ere, love, show us yer pineapples and I'll show ya me digital download collection..."
Oooh, maybe not :roflmao:

Nah - its obvious shes a store detective. She is smiling as shes just nabbed the Salford Satbox Smuggler. He clears out Lidls of their cheap satkits and sells them on ebay at huge markups
