Canal+ Netherlands for K3

Files out today at JKF and other good file hosting sites. There's not much in SECA 2 that this card doesn't open now, with one notable exception - Digital +.

Anyone want to take any bets?

the K3 does open D+ and Cabo but only when paired with a goldbox receiver, we've all been waiting for new files that will work with other receivers but they don't look like being provided yet !!!!

Yes, I don't understand the thinking behind the Goldbox thing. I wonder what the deal is there. The marketplace isn't exactly flooded with these boxes, or ever likely to be. A very odd one. I expected that hack to go public after a few days... :?

What's the deal with the XCAM Orion and K3 Mickha? Will the Orion patch work on any version of the XCAM and does it do any more than the standard three options on the K3?

Apparently some people have tested the new X Cam Orion patch with the K3 and are getting Cabo and other channels, but the K3 team seems to be an enigma with the way they are producing files.
I get freeze ups, at varying intervals when using a Dragon Cam, but in my old Magic Module the freeze ups are only occasional.
I can't get D+ or Cabo, due to the policy of matching them up with goldbox technology and now this patch, all seemingly for not very popular equipment, how many X Cams were actually sold?
I am surprised that they seem to have broken all these packages but no emu has even been metioned so they seem to have very strong security with this card.
We have keys for D+ and Cabo posted, but the RSA seems the difficulty.
This card doesn't seem anything special, in performance, ability, memory, as shown by the fact that you can only load one file at a time, so you are limited to your choices.
If K3 is short for the Knot card 3, and it's the same team, their first card lasted a long time and their security wasn't broken.
The options for my K3 at present are:
1. C+ Fr and TPS.
2. Cyfra +
3. C+ NL.
I wish I could get the fourth option D+ and Cabo, but without having to invest in a goldbox or X-Cam, so for now I'll stick with C+ Fr and TPS, I have switched to Cyfra + once for the United game last week but switched back afterwards.
I was expecting the new T-Rex 4.5 to get these packages, as that's what they seemed to be hinting at, but as of yet there is no sign of this happening.
Hopefully we will get more compatible files in the future but I have a feeling this may only happen when they decide they want to sell a lot more cards shortly before introducing a K4 card after the providers fight back, am I getting cynical in my old years

LOL, no, as usual I think you're spot on. That's exactly how it'll work.

I'm sure some goodies will come for the T-Rex 4.5 though. I'd put my house on it.

I don't completely understand the use of the K3 with the Goldbox, but I was told that the RSA isn't the problem. Apparently it hasn't changed in a long time.

The problem is that the firmware of the Goldbox actually contains a decryption algorithm which transposes the plain keys fed to it for D+ and CABO. An unusual arrangement, but attempts to disassemble the receiver code have drawn a blank due to some of the code (equivalent to nanocode if you like) being stored in protected memory which cannot be dumped.

Even stranger than that, not all keys are treated the same. The code says 'If Digital+ or CABO, go shuffle the keys, otherwise just use them as they are'.

Very odd.

But how have they managed to emulate this on the X-Cam ? And if it can be done on the X-Cam why not on others?
Equally why haven't we got any of these packages on emulation, at first I thought that the K3 team had an inside guy, but now too many packages are breached, all using Mediaguard 2 encryption. This would not make financial sense so I assume it is a genuine hack, and thus the encryption can not be secure, hopefully this Winter might prove a very good one for viewing choices !!!!!!

Yes, your logic makes sense that the encryption system is hacked as opposed to a leak/sale, and I can't explain the XCAM phenomenon. Maybe someone managed to reverse-engineer the firmware in the Goldbox?

I'd seen the firmware code on dudez for the Goldbox, so unless it was a fake... :?

Here's hoping you're right, and the S2 hack does eventually go public. If the K3 team can do it, then there's hope.

Nagra2 aswell, though I can't see the K3 card being hacked.

D+ and Cabo must be open on goldboxes, too many people have confirmed it to be a fake, and with the K3 card opening everything else they've claimed to I can't see them lying about these packages, it's just amazing how thay have managed to beat all the packages, and released the files, at the same time.

I don't doubt the Goldbox hack. If the above is true, the price of all those old XCAMs just shot up ten-fold!

So far only the person that posted the patch, but he seems reliable, the problem is finding anyone else with the same combination, X Cam and K3 card, that is also willing to try it !!!!!!!!!!!
It sounds like you're right, just read posts concerning the X Cam and K3 card, bundled together on a certain auction site, and appears interest is starting to increase, just the mention of D+ locks up satellite sites, even if it's just rumours, so no doubt the price of these X Cams will rocket. I wonder if the K3 makers have a vested interest
