Default Come on then, verdicts on the England game...?

Here's my 2 pence (? :??)

Not bad. Glad Defoe got a couple. Lennon looked good again. Gerrard was supreme and was MOTM for me. Didn't miss Beckham. Richardson caused problems for Andorra. Downing doesn't get Joe Cole's place, but makes a good stand-in on the left. Hargreaves is still a **** in my book (Carrick is my choice) and I'm sure I saw Paul Robinson nod off in the second half.

Is that a fair assessment? :roflmao:

Now, who would you play on the right out of Gerrard, Lennon and SWP?

Well, I think the England players need a bit of discipline drummed into then.

Half a dozen falling over themselves in the box all wanting to get their name on the scoresheet. If they got one on each post and only a couple in the middle they would have got at least another couple of goals.

Lennon is the one for me. he has shown that he has the speed and skill to get round most defenders and his crosses are very accurate.

I think Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard should be made to earn their place, only room for one of them unless they learn to play together.

What I do like about the new setup is that they are using the pitch a lot better and not just booting the ball up into the goal mouth from their own half.

LOL, yes, I know what you mean.

As opposed to the schoolboy hoof it up the front technique, it was the schoolboy everyone chase the ball and hope the other team are fully occupied defending to notice we didn't leave anyone back in our own half technique!
