Well making good progress for the first real day playing with my new toy.

The router connection is working well and Ive got 2 way communication
Ive figured out the simpler functions of the DreamBoxEdit programme and now have the first bouquet set up to my satisfaction (the fta 19E channels ). Not too bothered about playing with scrambled channels yet - I want my free stuff back.

Next up - Sirius & W2. Hotbird can wait until Ive got an afternoon to edit out all the unwanted stuff - theres an awful lot of rubbish in the Satcodx downloads....

Sounds like it's going well.

It's worth getting everything sorted on the base image in flash and then uploaded to your PC, because when you come to add extra images onto USB with Flashwizard, you can choose to copy all the base configuration too.

What was I saying about having figured outthe DBE programme - I manged to erase all my lists by mistake. Then had great fun hunting through the hard drive looking for where the files were hidden!

Did you find them? I think they get saved under the DBE program directory somewhere by default.

Hee hee some of the little things you can do are fun.

Putting the DB ip address into a browser and logging in, you can change channel by remote control via the browser

Now that is clever.

Setting your Dreambox to record stuff via the timer when you're still at work, or even on holiday abroad is a pretty neat touch

but after 6 or so episodes of 'Corrie', the video reorder is full and all crap quality.

Incidentally, if you try Dreamview on the pc, it controls the Dreambox sat selections and channels so you see exactly what you would see on the tv.
