can i swap my card back an forth from 2 sky diginboxes.or does each box have its own card.

just entered card in new box,said this is wrong card for box.

i.e if i'm watching art in one room i'm not using sky, missus wants uk tv style or e4, i take out card put in other box.........

It should work with the standard channels. Wont work for the sport & movies. Your easiest option is to get a multiroomcard (£10/month - both boxes connected to phoneline)

Or save the monthly payment, spend a bit more up front and get a dreambox which will read the card ok.

..or seeing as the card is already in the correct box much of the time anyway, a cheap Dragon 4.1 CAM...

As AS says, it should be switchable between boxes for basic channels. Mine is.

You can always ring Sky and get it paired to the other box. Just tell them your old box died.

thanks for replies, i don't really want to commit to sky for an extra 10.00 a month for the luxury having 2 boxes one card.

is this the dragon cam you talk off with sky card in,

and then watch sky in front room via technomate......

also if i tell sky existing box is dead and they match up new box to card, will it still work in the dead one so to speak or do sky just activate old card in new box,and delete old details.(hope this makes sense).

i take it i can use sky card in dreambox with no troubles, i'm assuming it must be connected to digidish and not hotbird dish??

The sky card will work in the dreambox for all channels that are covered by your subscription. Obviously your dish has to be pointing at 28.2E

Yes and no. Most of the pay packages are still secure, and cannot be opened by any wonder box of tricks. The dragon will work with many legit subs cards for the pay services, and will opens few pay services. For example TPS comes and goes as the codes are updated for it. DONT expect to plug a dragon in and be able to access evry pay service - it doesnt work like that!

Technomate (as long as its gor CI slots.) A sky box wont accept any cams.
